Challenging The Gods
Wow. I guess if I ever want to get a bunch of comments almost instantly, I just need to imply, ever so gently, that some other team besides the showstoppers is deserving of some sort of rememberance or recognition.
Look, I know the MM will never exceed the showstopers in on-court success, but I hope that we'll have a chance to come close in non-basketball related exploits. Did the showstoppes ever make it on the warrior update? Did they ever raffle off an autographed ball at halftime? Were they ever featured on the BRAINERD DAILY DISPATCH WEBSITE?

All will be explained when the Manly Mustaches Manifesto is completed...

The Maly Mustaches are indeed far superior in off the court antics. I mean, granted, we even have Mr. Paul Klinefelter, 2005 TIME Man of the year, as our head coach. And this is only junior year. Next year truly will be the Year of The Mustache.
Cameron, who do you think it is?
And you could have just clicked on my name and seen "Maxwell Kuehn" in my profile. Also, it says "Constant K" on my Mustache shirt.
Thank you for your patronage.
you may have gotten more outside recognition this year, but it was the showstoppers who paved the way for popular intramural bball teams. we were the first team from our sophmore year on to make our team a big deal, which added to the novelty of it. regardless, raffling an autographed ball is a nice idea.
Max, the Showstoppers are beyond a team. They transcend even basketball itself. James Naismith rises from his grave and applauds every time we take the court. The Showstoppers are the second most entertaining basketball entity (or deity) of all-time, behind "Earnest Slam Dunks." But I mean, c'mon, Earnest AND Kareem Abdul-Jabar? We never had a chance to surpass THAT level of greatness.
