throughout this post, you'll find a few words inserted between parenthesis. these words are meant to portray my current emotions/feelings. (witty)
here i sit...missing another day of school. (happy) i'm guessing that pritschet thinks i'm skipping nat quals just because i don't wanna go in PF...but you know what, he can think that. it's not going to bother me. (frustrated)
for pelkey/others whom have offered their own analysis: i know that he can't force me to do anything, but it is kind of my responsibility to go and at least support the team. oh well. the temporary plan is that i'll drive up there tomorrow and just compete in SC...assuming i'm feeling good enough to do that.
speaking of feeling good enough: this morning i woke up, enjoyed the restroom without a puke bucket, and while i was washing my hands i noticed something:
in the like 4 or 5 days that i haven't shaved, i've grown a better mustache than most of those who participated in no shave november. (manly) i wish i could have found my sister's camera, because i would have taken a picture of the beast, but, alas, no camera was to be found and i just shaved the poor guy off. "he lived a good life..."
about 30 mins ago i ate some food for the first time in well over 48 hours. i'm starving but if i eat too much i feel all...sick. (yuck) oh well, it just takes a little food spread out over a long day, and i think i'll start to feel normal again.
total pounds lost: 11. hopefully it will all end tonight.

kubas. first of all, you are whimp for not doing ld. you could have qualed in that for sure. second, pf is a joke. i don't know what pritschet is doing with that shit, but whatever. i understand that you are legitimately sick, but you have to understand what pritsch is thinking too. we named you and sara captains for a reason, and now you have to live up to that. you partially have me to blame for that, but not in the way you think.
see, back when i was a novice, the captain was just a (more or less) figurehead position. their only real responsibility was to get the sweatshirt stuff done. however, when i entered debate i started challenging (pissing off) the older debaters. pritschet loved it, and he took advantage of that side of me. he knew he wouldn't lose me no matter how much he dissed me, and he knew that if he dissed me he wouldn't lose the older debaters. i basically forced bhs debate to take on a different, more competitive tone (of course, having kirstin dunham didn't hurt). this got taken to a new level with the vicious love triangle that was myself, carmen, and kellen. of course, after the latter two graduated, all that was left was me, so that is why you have the captain position being what it is. my bad. go to student congress and support your team.
Kubas, if you're sick, you're sick. Kara told me Amy said you were sick, and I think we both know she sucks at lying. Unless there's a side of her I never saw in the 3 months I worked with her. Even if you were faking to get out of qualling in PF, I would support that. There's no reason you should have to go in an event you don't want to go in. That would suck. So there's my two cents, for what it's worth. Oh, and you don't have to live up to Tay either. ;)(sarcastic and partially evil)

Hmm. Deebs told me that you were sick because of Taco Bell. Now I don't know if this is true (Taco Bell) because the E.coli outbreak supposedly only affected the east coast and one supplier chain. However, food poisoning sucks. A lot of people have gotten it recently, I noted.
So, best wishes on getting over whatever illness you may have, Kubas. Look forward to rhetorical triangles, essays, multiple choice, vocab, reading packets, and article analysis. The last two are for Geo.

Hey man, glad to hear you are almost feeling up to your Kubasy-goodness once more. We miss you very much here, but understand that you were sick with a capital ICK. Pritschet doesn't think you're skipping out on anything, he was actually the one that was most worried about you (not that the rest of us weren’t, but only Pritschet can worry like a Pritschet). Even before rounds were done he kept saying "Somebody call Kubas, see if he survived the day... ect." General report on the day so far: Kara and I went 4-0 today, Jenna's also 4-0, Brian's 3-1, Sonya's also 3-1, Tom, Luke, Arielle, Garrett, Kristian, and Sam are out (by a close shot). Overall, it went pretty well today, though it wasn't quite the same without you!
Oh, and Tay... you didn't do anything last year except intimidate Steph. All credit to Rianna for raising up the Prodigy children, getting everything organized, and actually making sure things got done. Thank you, Rianna!
Also, Kubas, on behalf of Brainerd Debate: GET WELL SOON!

i don't think intimidate was the correct word. "hit on" is probably closer to the truth.
For the record, I didn't say it.
Well! My month or two of debate (cumulative throughout the year) makes me think that "harass" is better word for "intimidate" in Sara's post.
You are all entirely right. Sincerest apologies for my poor word choice. I hereby edit that sentence to state, "Oh, and Tay... you didn't do anything last year except intimidate, harass, hit on, and corner our poor Steph. Shame on you, Humbert Humbert."
