Though I would be curious to know whether each member of the blog has his IP address blocked so that the hit counter does not including self-hits.

No. It also, of course, does not count unique hits only (though it certainly could, but for some reason various members were opposed ot the idea...).
It really needed an on-screen counter, otherwise you don't really get the sensation of time passing between jump-cuts. Even if it just displayed the current number after each jump=cut, without actually counting each instanc ein real-time. Filming at various times of night/day would have helped a lot too.
(non-related P.S.: Surely it would make sense to allow people who are members of the blog to comment without doing the word verification...)

damn this was insanely cool. well done, kurt, despite sam's critical comments. but i do agree with him on the not having blog memebers do word verification - is this possible, because it's a pain in the arse.
