highlight of my night: first guy I called in New Mexico gave me $100, which earned me $2.90 commission and, even though it was my only pledge, $3.00 more in the contest.
As you know, Governor Richardson and Senator Bingaman are up for re-election, and we'll be working to pick up seats in the US House.
Good ol' New Mexico.
How do you know he was black? Is that one of your questions?
yes, sam, the conversation went something like this:
"...could you give $100 to the michigan senate democratic caucus?"
"no."
"are you black?"
"yes."
"thank you for speaking with me...have a wonderful evening."
and no, i'm not moving. at least not during senior year!! that would suck!!!
Was the "are you black" question on the script, or was that an ad-lib for your own records?
